Our Father initiates and pursues a relationship with us.
He sent Jesus to redeem us and restore us back to a relationship with Him. Through His life and sacrifice, Jesus made a way for us to become heirs of the Kingdom and to live as we were originally designed, with Him as our loving King and creation being renewed and restored. God does not simply want us to know more information about who He is or what He has done. He desires we know Him. So he invites each of us to grow our roots deeper into His heart. By His Spirit, he speaks to us and transforms us. His Word (scripture), His Body (each other), and creation itself are some of the ways he speaks. |
What is a DNA?
A DNA is a group of three or four believers (same gender) who commit to meeting outside our MC Gatherings.
These are times of listening to the Spirit together, intentionally learning/reading together, and practising Gospel fluency as we become known deeply by a few we trust. It is a place for our blind spots to be seen and kindly hold us in obedience to what God is saying. As a church, we believe care happens most effectively in small, trusted spaces, holistically and with accountability. Our DNA's are a great place to give and receive encouragement in our apprenticeship with Jesus.
DNA's are intended to be flexible. When, where and what length is up to you. However, over the last 15+ years, we have found that weekly DNA's for about 2 hours is best for growth, though it is not set in stone. Keep in mind that DNA’s require commitment, and we encourage each group to agree on a regular time, place, and duration for meetings. Your group is dependent on humility, openness, and honesty within one another.
We have resources to help start a DNA, that explain how to create a safe space quickly, and questions to keep DNA's deep (even 2-3 years into it).

DNA's follow a simple framework
The goal is to help one another to Discover the Father’s heart within scriptures and everyday life,
to Nurture the truths of Jesus (The good news of the Gospel of the Kingdom) in our hearts,
and to faithfully Act on what the Spirit calls us to do.

2. What has the Spirit been saying to you? And how do you need to respond? 3. What areas of the Gospel are you struggling to believe? And how might it affect the way you reflect Jesus? 4. What might this week look like, in order to bless and serve those distant from Jesus? |
