At a Glance

• We have no "Church buildings" and no employed workers, so as the Spirit leads we can generously support/equip one another to do the work of the Church. ​
• We create regular spaces and opportunities for everyday people to experience Jesus, so each person can participate according to how God has designed them.  ​
• We train believers and not-yet-believers to connect with Jesus, building them up in the truth and way of the Kingdom, so as Ambassadors they can be sent to do the same.

SIMPLICITY

We live as Ambassadors of the kingdom with one another throughout the week, forming Missional Micro Churches. These MCs gathering regularly with other MCs forming Church Gatherings. We Keep Jesus at the centre through training, music, stories, communion, prayer, food, and mission.

SPIRIT & SCRIPTURES

We believe that Jesus speaks to us regularly. So MicroChurches read through the scriptures at the same pace, and gather to listen, learn and live it out. We also expect the Spirit to speak through his Body, to each person comes ready to share as the Spirit leads.

Shared Leadership

Christ is Head of his body, we do not believe one or two people should take charge or have authority over others. Instead we have 3-4 (Women & Men) leading each Missional MicroChurch. Sitting under the authority of Jesus and sharing responsibility and pastoral care.

Lead like Family

We are a family not a Business - son's and daughters of God - therefore we treat one another like family. We don't employ workers or staff to teach and manage the community. Our servant leaders, lead and love the family because Jesus does, not because they are "paid" to care.

Apprenticing Apprentices

We each take on the responsibility to care for one another’s holistic wellness. Each part of the Body plays it's part in grace-filled, Spirit led, peer apprenticing. We seek to be apprenticed and actively apprentice others in the ways of Jesus and His Kingdom.

Kingdom Ambassadors 

We believe the Good News of Jesus is good news for everyday life & every cultural moment. We all seek to show and share this gospel into our personal unbelief (blindspots) and our cultural and communal brokenness. As citizens of God's kingdom we no longer hold to the dreams and rights of our old citizenship.

Kingdom First

We aligned our lives to the Spirits Mission. His role is to draw all people back to the Father's heart, knowing Jesus as King & saviour of all creation. Our privilege it to join that mission. so each week we commit to serving His Kingdom above our own.

Mutual PARTICIPATION 

We create space for the Body of Christ to express it's different gifts and celebrate each member playing their part. Each Missional MicroChurch and Church Gathering makes space for each person to engage with the Jesus and respond to the Spirit.

We are the Building

Buildings come and go, we are freed from building our identity around a building. This means wherever we gather, there the church is. This can be in DNA groups or in larger gatherings for training and teaching. Together as Children of God, we are his dwelling place.

IDENTITY:

BOTH ​INDIVIDUALLY AND ​COMMUNALLY 

Adopted as sons and daughters into the Family of God. Because of Jesus, we become part of God's people for God’s purposes.  We are no longer slaves or orphans but heirs empowered by God's Spirit.

Ambassadors who uniquely reflect Jesus to those around us. We are sent to show and share of a better kingdom, and we do this by serving and blessing others in ways that demand Gospel explanations.

HOW WE GATHER:

​As gathered ones, we gather in different ways.

​We seek to meet as Missional MicroChurches throughout the week, for things like meals, sharing pains and joys, encouragement, to have fun together and to create spaces that welcome disengaged and distant, and also reading the Bible together (same portion as other MCs).  MicroChurches are smaller/intimate forms of the church with a shared mission - small enough to know a lot about each person in the family, seeing heart motives and blind spots.  This is where the shared life of Christ is seen and experienced most clearly and gospel fluency is easily practiced. ​​

We seek to meet as Gatherings regularly (depending on context it could be fortnightly or monthly). These gatherings are special because they are made up of 2-3 Missional MCs who meet together. During these gatherings we learn together, worship/sing together, share communion and hear how the Spirit is working in the other Missional MicroChurches. The MC servant leaders (shared leadership) might have more direction teaching during these gatherings and 5-for-5’s happen.  With a larger community to draw from, DNA can be formed as well as prayer times, worship nights, youth programs and broader pastoral care.

We seek to meet as Kingdom Clusters (ideally) ever 3-4 months.  This is when Church Gatherings connect with other Church Gatherings for training and encouragement. These meetings are for “equipping the body”, usually setting aside half a day (or the appropriate amount of time) to soak up truths and reconnect with other Gatherings around Adelaide. This larger corporate worship and time of teaching is designed to help the body engage with both their heads and their hearts.  We have workshops, question and response, note taking and plenty of discussion around specific topics. ​

We seek to meet as One Church each year.  This is the Gathered Church. All of the Church Gatherings from around the city, meet together to be refreshed and renewed. A time for the gathered believers to be reminded of God’s bigger picture of a citywide church united around Jesus.  People share stories, pray for one another,  those with prophetic gifts realign our views to God’s view and the intercessors lead us in prayer and worship. It is a corporate gathering of One Church made up of many families.​

We learn and grow in the context of Family.  Loving one another through everyday life and discipleship. We walk together following Christ in normal weekly rhythms.
