(47 )
JOHN 10
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me
(27)
"BUT THE ONE WHO ENTERS THROUGH THE GATE IS THE SHEPHERD OF THE SHEEP. THE GATEKEEPER OPENS THE GATE FOR HIM, AND THE SHEEP RECOGNIZE HIS VOICE AND COME TO HIM. HE CALLS HIS OWN SHEEP BY NAME AND LEADS THEM OUT. AFTER HE HAS GATHERED HIS OWN FLOCK, HE WALKS AHEAD OF THEM, AND THEY FOLLOW HIM BECAUSE THEY KNOW HIS VOICE.”
|
“I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me--just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd."

3 Simple PRACTICES
Daily PauseTake 5 minutes a day (or more) to pause and be reminded of who you are in Christ. Follow 4 easy steps. Download the resource below.
|
Prayer WalksThis can be alone or with a couple others. Simply walk around your block/suburb and be asking "Father, where are you at work & How can I/we play part?"
|
Bible MeditationThis is such a good practice and so refreshing. It can be done using most portions of scripture but using Psalms is particularly good for beginers.
|
This practice is a great place to start and can link with an existing habit (like morning coffee). You could even try it first thing in the morning and last thing at night. As you go try increasing the times. We have created two PDF's designed to fit Phone screens perfectly, so they are always there right at your fingertips.
|
1Read a SHORT portion of scripture together (in several versions)
Examples could be... Psalm 1, 18, 23, 91, Rom 12, Eph 1, Phil 3, Gal 5 |
2Break up and reread it alone (10 mins) - choose one verse, phrase, or word. Ponder it and slowly repeat it. Ask the Lord what He wants to say to you.
(Sometimes a familiar verse loses its meaning. Meditating on it and asking questions helps see it fresh) |
3Sing and pray the Psalms: (5 mins) - this may feel strange at first, but well worth it.
(Studies have shown that adding simple melodies to words helps the words go from our head to our heart) |
4Come back together and share with each other and then respond to what the Father has just been saying.
(sharing about 15 mins - responding/praying 20+ mins) |
